o all those who have shared their lives with me - thank you.  This CD is the story of those lives and a celebration. God is good. Let's live the way He intended us to, sharing life with one another in the freedom He has given us through Christ Jesus.

Get It & Live came from the realization there are boundaries in life. God has put them there for our freedom and protection. If we get it, God wants us to live it.

This CD features the writing debut of my sister, Kerry Champagne, who contributed Freedom Speaks. The songs range from the high tempo title track, to mid-tempo and contemplative Feel Again, Stand And Deliver and Hand Me Down Blues.

The production of this CD was put on hold when my wife and I were involved in a serious car accident. During a painful recovery we realized that doing this CD would contribute to others' lives and the material and energy that went into it came from a renewed sense of purpose. Once again, Roy Salmond of Whitewater Productions in Vancouver helped make this the best CD it could be.

Nothing New  was inspired by a town-reunion in Fisherbranch, MB where I grew up. A chat with an old friend convinced me that a rock/rhythm and blues style was where my roots lay and how I best express myself.

Between a trip to Asia, a Carolyn Arends concert and many confirmations along the way, we decided to record again. While recording at Whitewater Productions in Vancouver, producer Roy Salmond and I literally had the studio shaking. Actually, it was an earthquake.

Songs like Feels Like Heaven, Big Go 'Round and There's No Place for That hit home with people and received airplay across Canada.

While listening to Steve Earle's Copper Head Road album, it became clear to me that Jesus Christ was someone I needed to know. It was the song Nothing but a Child that had a deep effect on me. As I decided that Jesus was who He claimed to be I was inspired to write Another Side To Life.

A few connections later found me in Nashville recording my first "record" (as they still refer to a recording there). It was a great experience and a pleasure to work with producer Vic Clay and a great group of musicians. Not surprisingly, the CD has a bit of a country flavor. The songs on it celebrate the exploration of faith.
